Do you work at Charter Communications? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Charter Communications has an aweful employee employer relationship. I found that reguardless of how hard you work or how hard you attempt to prove your self, you will not go anywhere with the company unless you are one of the " good ole boys", Kiss a lot of tail or have worked for MCI. If any of those fit you, then you may be the perfect person to apply for employment there. This is simply not a good, honest or sincere place to work for.

After your interview with Charter how long does it usually take for a call back. I also noticed on the web site under jobs it has "3 submitted to mgr". Does n e one know what that means?

I've had 156 service calls to charter in 4 years. I've caught Marissa Wilcox (supervisor for charter escalation) in 4 lies. I have not had more than 20 days of uninterrupted service. Charter is charging me for service calls and refusing to credit my bill for errors. Marissa closed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau because she said she "Didn't want the extra paperwork". I reopened the case and the Better Business Bureau said Charter was being uncooperative. I've writtend the board of directors 8 certified letters. I did not receive a response from any of them. Charter Corporate office froze my account (after my letters were sent) and told the billing office not to credit my bills...even if they were incorrect. Marissa Wilcox will not give me another contact other than herself and she has not returned my last 16 phone calls. I've filed complaints with the Attorney General's office in 3 states. I've filed with the Public Service Commission in 2 states. I've spoken to our local State Representative who agrees "Charter is a disgrace". He told Charter's lobbyist they would never get anything from our legislature again. However, our State Rep says we must go through our city council members to ensure the cities do not reinstate the Charter contracts. This company is the most fraudulent company I've ever encountered. Their tech support told me I should be happy that my internet worked 82% of the time last month. Doesn't their advertisment say "Fast, Reliable 24/7?"
This company is corrupt from the top to bottom. The fact is...they do not care. Their employees will laugh in your face because we are forced to do business with such disgusting lying thieves.

Recently, I went on an interview for a service position with Charter. The interviewer was 20 minutes late and the receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. I started to just leave after 15 minutes but decided to amuse myself by watching this company in action. The interview focused on customer service and how great Charter is in this area. It was very hard for me to keep from cracking up in front of them. I have Charter services at home so I know how unprofessional they are most of the time. After half way through the interview, another supervisor came in and looked like his Charter uniform had not be washed in a month. He ask me if I knew the current stock price and I sayed no. He seemed to hung up on the stock price and how a recent interviewee knew the stock price. He tried to act intellegent but he fooled no one because his true character showed his lack of professionalism. I disliked Charter before I went on this interview but could never really put my finger on the reason. Now I know. Charter and its employees are very unprofessional and do not care about customers. After dealing with the receptionist and the supervisors, I decided to stop my Charter services and go to directTv. Now I truly understand why Charter has the reputation that they do.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Charter Communications?
Any advice on striking the right note?
