This job is not bad but not great either. Sales managers are helpful and team oriented. Upper management could care less about the employees on the floor however.
Pay structure changed a couple times over the short time that I was there and not for the better. I've heard from friends that are still employed there that it has changed a few times since I left and most sales reps are not happy with it. Taking inbound calls and your basically competing against your own website because customers can just book it themselves and there is not much incentive for them to book with you over the phone. Also, every phone call you pick up is counted. So if you answer the phone and someone says "hey count this against your totals", it will be counted against your totals. Never understood how that was fair.
Bene's are pretty good and the travel perks are fantastic if you like to travel to the Caribbean. Most of the sales reps are friendly and helpful although it does tend to be a bit cliquey.
Training is thorough. There is a hot season and a cold season as far as sales goes. During the down times it is very, very slow. Your income will fluctuate vastly so be smart and put money to the side for the slow season if you can... you'll need it.
Used to be able to work from home during bad weather and when extra help was needed. I've heard they no longer do this and that's a shame.
