cashier (Former Employee), Macon, GA –
Pros: n/a
Cons: no benefits
typical day was clocking in counting my register and begin taking orders. it was great way to meet new people. other than that there was no excitement and the managers expected more of you than what you were suppose to b doing.

Work ya like dogs
Management (Former Employee), Philadelphia –
Cons: see comments
Corporate Checkers offered no support or leadership. Turnover was constant and it was a "favored person" kind of growth.

Just not worth going into management. Dangerous for all employees in the inner cities where Checkers likes to migrate. Too many robberies at the windows. You're in a fish bowl.

Care about are customers
Cashier (Current Employee), Dixmoor, IL –
Pros: 50% of on food
Cons: one 30 min break no binifits
somedays can be very quiet and somedays it can be ery very hectic.I learned that hard work makes better people. Some management may abuse there power and some are the best to work with.most of the co-worker are the best to work around. The hardest part of the day is to keep thing clean when theres alot of cares and alot of orders period.the best part – more...  of the day is to see the smile on the costomers face when you make there day. – less

Stay working and you are able to communicate well with your co-workers. You can also enjoy yourself were you are at close range with your co-workers.

Looking for a productive workplace in customer service were I can evolve my work skills, and better myself as a person.
Cashier/ Cook (Current Employee), Detroit, MI –
Pros: does not supply any pros other then having a job.
Cons: no breaks, no health care.
A typical day consists of me performing my job duties effectively and provide excellent customer service to customers if needed at a fast pace. I learn how to work with different type of people on a daily basis. I would consider my coworkers not that easy to work with at times but I make the best of it all the time. Hardest part of the job is me being – more...  one of the only workers who works the same everyday even if I do not feel up to part. Most enjoyable part to me would be interacting with the customers I love interacting with others. – less

fast, nice enviroment, time consuming, not worth the pay
Cashier (Former Employee), Dearborn, MI –
A typical day at Checks was over all fast moving, loud and hot. I learned more about team work and the value of others satisfaction. Also more about keeping a smile on my face instead of letting the rude and distasteful customers get the best of me. My management where mangers but sometimes let the role be down played. My co-workers were fair but needed – more...  a little more assistant at times, just to keep busy. The hardest part of the job for me was making burgers fast and correct. Which is why i stayed at the dive thru window. The most enjoyable part of working at Checkers was knowing that i had done the best job i could do. – less

Busy work environment with friendly staff
Cashier (Former Employee), Township of Howell, NJ –
A typical work day begins by clocking in on the back computer, then I would proceed to take orders at one of the drive through or walk in registers. There would typically be 30 minute or hour bursts of non-stop business followed by 15 to 30 minutes of down time. All the managers and co-workers were friendly and they all tended to get along and work – more...  without many problems. – less

Productive, and great place, with nice managers.
Crewmember (Current Employee), Carrollton, GA –
Every day is busy, always have something to do, and never doing nothing. Learned how to prepare the various sandwiches, and the process of cooking the meat. Management is nice and understanding, but quick to let you know if your doing something wrong. Co-workers are very friendly and will help if you ever needed it. Hardest part of the job is trying – more...  to keep up your speed, and making sure the quality of the sandwiches you prepare is high. I enjoy that I always have something to do at this job, and never finding myself idle. – less
