Cheeseboy, America’s first quick-service grilled cheese restaurant concept, is seeking dynamic and talented General Manager for their store in the Metro Boston Area.

GENERAL MANAGER REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
*EXPERIENCE: Has at least 3 years of QSR/Fast Casual experience and at least 1 year of QSR/Fast Casual Assistant Manager experience. Previous GM experience preferred.
*CUSTOMER SERVICE: Offers exceptional customer service skills and exhibits obvious comfort interacting positively with guests.
*SALES BUILDING: Understands the importance of, and can aggressively execute, local store marketing including sampling programs, event management, coupon distribution, and other local marketing activities.
*PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Able to maintain and easily communicate solid knowledge of all products and services available at the restaurant
*GENERAL MANAGEMENT: Capable of managing daily shifts and ensuring smooth, calm, and efficient store operations at all times
*TEAM LEADERSHIP: Understands how to hire, train and treat team members with respect and kindness while leading through example and confidence
*TROUBLESHOOTING: Easily able to troubleshoot any challenges that occur in the restaurant, including issues with POS system operations, equipment problems, customer complaints, scheduling challenges, employee issues, etc.
*INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Clearly understands how to manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and executing weekly/monthly inventory counts.
*P&L MANAGEMENT: Understands basic principles of reading, analyzing, and managing a P&L. This includes effective management of labor costs, COGS, and other primary expenses.
STATION JOB DESCRIPTIONS (may include some or all of the following)
*SANDWICH STATION: Prepares sandwiches according to customer orders, keeps station stocked and cleaned, maintains order/sandwich accuracy
*GRILL STATION: Grills sandwiches, maintains accurate orders, ensures perfect grilling of each sandwich, keeps station clean at all times, consistently interacts positively with customers
*EXPEDITING: Helps prepare side items, ensures accurate levels of all soups and sides, assists in packaging orders, greets customers at hand-off area
*PREPPING: Accurately and safely preps cheeses, meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for use in the restaurant
*CASHIER: Greets customers and takes food orders with a smile and positive attitude, provides information about menus, knows how to suggest products to customers, operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, directs customer to pick up area
*ALL POSITIONS: Maintains high level of courtesy and positive customer interactions at all times
ALL TEAM MEMBER REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDING GENERAL MANAGER)
*Works well in a rapid-paced environment.
*Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed at all times, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
*Helps clean and stock work area and customer areas as needed
*Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart, when needed
*Moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies (all positions require the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs)
*Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed (soup preparation, slicing cheese, cutting vegetables, cooking meats, sandwich prep)
*Regularly cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment
*Can easily bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
*Speaks, reads and comprehends instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
