CheetahMail's delivery engine provides support for HTML formats, Text formats and Rich Media. CheetahMail's deployment capabilities extend far beyond the ability to simply send emails; auto-sensing enables us to know which of our clients' customers can receive HTML. Where we do not know the customers message preference, such as Text or HTML, CheetahMail sends in multipart alternative format, which allows customers' email clients to read messages at their highest possible optimization. If the end user cannot read HTML, these messages will appear as clean text.
CheetahMail is a pioneer in AOL optimization. Since May 2001, CheetahMail clients have had the ability to send full HTML messages to AOL users who can support it. The message is delivered in the optimal format specific to the reader. For example, if a user has AOL 5.0 at home, they will read the message from CheetahMail in the Rich Text version. If later that day they check their email at work on AOL Anywhere or on a computer that has AOL 6.0, that same message will be in HTML format.
