I was contingent as a Computer Operator. Working on weekends and filling in for vacation days for the full-time person.
Typical night was running reports, seperating them and distributing reports to each department. Supervising updates to system. Occasionally writing code.
Management was great did not see them a whole lot, And as to co-workers...well if you count the little mouse that was in the hospital basement with me we got along fine.
The hardest part of the job was not freaking out about any noise I heard during the night. Also the fact that I decided to give up this night job when my son started school. It was to benefit him and that was more important at the time for his growth.
The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I could accomplish task without supervision, and know that if anything happen that I needed help on, someone was just a phone call away
