Electrical/Instrument Engineer (Former Employee) –  Hitchcock, TXMay 16, 2017
I started one project without proper guidance, had no electrical engineer over me, designers were over engineers. There was not enough work, there were no new projects coming in.
Pros
TWIC card, EE studies
Cons
slow work

Electrical Draftsman (Former Employee) –  Hitchcock, TXFebruary 16, 2017
Chemic is the stepping point for me going into the engineering industry, its was a very good learning curve on how downstream oil and gas electrical engineering works. I learned about proposals and documentations and drawing files are submitted through proper line of communications, all details and changes must be given extreme attention and documented for good quality of each project all members of the team should be given 100 percent to ensure excellent satisfactory for the customer.

Electrical Drafting (Former Employee) –  Hitchcock, txJune 8, 2015
Mostly Autocad 2D drawings, some modeling, go over projects, do field work, and draft for the designers, clean up drawings, typical stuff. I liked it there. Communication is a little sparse, and the office politics are waay too much for a company that small, there are some biased treatment issues from the top of the totem pole based on what school you went to (Go to Tx A&M, you will have a job for life and get away with anything) I don't think its ethical, and it has allowed some bad apples to make employment here kind of insufferable on certain days (an overwhelmingly unanimous opinion) but nothing seems to change. The intentions may well, but are poorly placed.
Pros
Good people, flexible hrs, good security, benefits are OK, Pay is decent, close to Pearland.
Cons
Nothing too bad...

Great company culture
Civil Engineer (Current Employee) –  Hitchcock, TXOctober 31, 2014
Chemic is a great place to work! The people who work here are wonderful: intelligent, motivated, and perhaps most important - FUN!

It’s easy today to become disconnected due to technology and at work, sitting down and tackling the day with people that treat you like family (at every level) and listen to you directly, makes it not only easier to get things done, but you finish your work with a bit less stress.
Pros
fun, value-driven culture, employee focused
