Very much so fast paced. Everything has to be done on time. Everyday we are inspecting the site. The most enjoyable about the job is being in your own space

Very Productive
Package Operator (Current Employee) –  Kiln, MSDecember 22, 2017
Fast pace and as for the product. It had to be pushed out for the customer. High demand for this product. If you're looking for a job where you think it's going to be easy all the time it's not. Expect to put out as much of yourself as you can. Because at the end of the day it is a job. Not some place where you going to have a easy days or nights because at times you will. But you have to work.
Pros
Free lunches. Off one week out of each month.
Cons
Not a easy job for those that expect to have it easy. Its a job

In TEFLON The work is there, its hard and there is ALOT to learn. There's things you wont be able to fully grasp for a couple years flat out. Its a challenge, I liked it. I wish I could go back but I was only there for a period of around 8 months.
Pros
Your compensated nicely
Cons
It's Dangerous.

Internship Experience
Process Development Intern (Current Employee) –  Wilmington, DENovember 9, 2017
Quickly became 'one of the team' being able to contribute to the workload placed upon the business. Placed in multitude of projects and allowed to become a part of other teams working on other processes, if I desired to learn about that process.

Its all in who you know
Operator 1 (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNMay 19, 2017
I was discharged for an unintentional lockout violation with no other write ups or discipline in the previous 5 years. Others around me who had done the same lockout the day before the same way were not penalized. I even had evidence of others doing illegal line breaks and other documentation errors involving my case and still noone was blamed but me.
Pros
good pay
Cons
buddy system, unfairness and company unwilling to improve process or work conditions

Excellent people but continuous lay offs and unrealistic company goals
ATO Engineer (Former Employee) –  Belle, WVMay 18, 2017
Excellent fellow employees and interesting work at Chemours. Flexible schedule which is highly desirable.

Continuous lay-offs and unmanageable, unrealistic company goals. Upper management is out of touch. Benefits reduced twice in six years. Seems company is failing.

Chemours Review
Sr. Network Security Engineer (Former Employee) –  Wilmington, DEMay 8, 2017
Chemours is a great company to work for. However, it is relatively new and going through lots of changes. Many things need attention and lots of unorganized workload. Once that is sorted out, Chemours should be a great place to work for.

Company is not a leader.
Chemical Operator Student (Former Employee) –  Washington, WVJanuary 1, 2017
Company is going down hill and is not leading example of "How to Take Care of Employees", but rather just doing what everyone else is doing. The company is not expanding.

A busy and productive day everyday every shift. Gained on the job training in every job which I became efficient. Worked well with the co-workers who retained their jobs. The most gratifying part of the job was when achieving your quota and performing your job safely.

Transformation underway, difficult long term road ahead
Manager (Former Employee) –  Wilmington, DEDecember 19, 2016
The company has taken significant actions to stabilize the financials of the company after the turbulent spin off from DuPont. The spin off was clearly a way for the parent DuPont to pass as much of the difficult assets and liabilities to Chemours and let them clean them up. There remains significant legal and environmental liability risk long term in several of the product lines. The company management has only focused on stabilization and has not communicated any details of a coherent strategy beyond 2018. It is all about cost reductions and stabilization first and a few selected investments second with no long term strategy other to say they want to increase the value of the Chemistry in their portfolio.
Pros
Two top businesses among their competitive peers in TiO2 and Fluoroproducts
Cons
Short term focus, no communicated details of strategy beyond 24 months, environmental risks
