I enjoyed working for the company as it was a family owned and operated company. A typical day of management was started early in the morning to check how trucks were routed and if we had any out of stocks reported so I could start fixing any problems immediately.
I would ride with sales reps to meet customers and to help penetrate accounts and also get to know the customers personally. I was able to learn on the fly how to deal with customers, sales reps issues, problems and help solve them. I had a very good working relationship with my entire team and also with the internal office personnel. I woud say the hardest part of the job was balancing collections, sales, out of stocks and when trucks were running late. Trying to make sure customers and sales reps were supported and keeping them calm in difficult situations.
The best parts of my job were watching new and experienced sales people succeed and helping them grow their business and having a personal relationship with all my customer base.
