Assigned position is in a multi-discipline Project Management Team (PMT) that provides general Engineering and Construction oversight support during the Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) and EPC phases of a base load natural gas liquefaction/LNG export plant Project.
The assignment period includes tasks and activities for front end works, engineering, procurement support and assistance, design, construction, startup and commissioning, and plant operations after handover.
Must act as liaison between various teams namely senior management, contractors, engineers and clients. Should have sound knowledge of foundation, grading, drainage, and be familiar with various datums such as NAD83, NAD27, WGS84 geodetic systems. Should possess effective communication skills to present work precisely and effectively. Must have expertise of the latest engineering tools and techniques to carry out complex projects with ease and efficiency within a specified timeframe in order to gain satisfied customers for the organization. Must possess excellent design skills and the ability to monitor daily acitivites of a team. Must have a good understanding of costing techniques and calculations in order to keep the project within time and budget constraints.
During FEED and EPC detailed Engineering, provide controls and design recommendations as the lead Company Civil Engineer to participate in progressing the engineering design and monitoring the EPC contractor and subcontractors for adherence to LNG codes and standards and project design basis that provides safe, reliable, optimized constructability, and cost effectiveness to build, operate and maintain.
At the Construction Site, provide Company controls to the safe work of the EPC contractor and subcontractors, adherence to approved designs, project specifications, schedule and budget that comply with safety and environmental regulations/procedures, and other statutory requirements.
Provide engineering expertise, guidance, inspection on Civil related activities; site preparation, foundations, soil improvement, site surveys, buildings, structures, road construction, drainage, and other civil discipline issues to make sure that assets are constructed in a sound, safe and efficient manner in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards.
Keep Cheniere Project Manager informed of any technical, schedule or cost impacts due to civil works and any impacts to other project tasks & activities.
During Construction, lead the Management of Change process for all civil plant modifications. Review and approve changes through the change order process and verify that documents and drawings are up to date.
During Construction, direct and monitor the activities of the Constructor(s) and Civil Inspector; verify the thoroughness and accuracy of their civil work.
1. Education and Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required and Professional Engineering License in good standing with at least one state is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Civil and Soils working experience in a large plant EPC environment. Structural experience is a plus.

b. A high level of safety awareness and knowledge of applicable LNG design regulations is required.
c. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.
