This is a wonderful teaching hospital that is very welcoming of new outside staff members. The culture in Cheyenne is amazing and very friendly. CRMC is truly the best place to work!!!

Changing Culture
Clinic Infomatics Mgr (Current Employee), Cheyenne, WYJuly 30, 2012
Pros: new epic implementation underway.
Cons: large numbr of staff leaving the organization in the last 6 months.
A company in the midst of change. Developing culture to move through the upcoming changes in health care.

Struggling with communicating each persons place in that future.

With what is going on in clinical informatics, this position is empty, anyone up for the challenge? guess too much change really complete chaos too much for highly sought after professionals in clinical informatics. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Productive and important enviroment
PACS Associate/Radiology Clerk (Former Employee), Cheyenne, WYMay 31, 2012
Pros: helping people, medical terminology, co-workers
Cons: management, hippa, frustrated sick people
Working at a hospital is a two way streak. It's amazing place to work when you loving helping people. But it's also very stressful dealing with sick and frustrated people. It's important that you follow all the rules and know what you are doing and that you are very detailed. The hardest part is making sure you are following HIPPA. The most enjoyable part helping people and making them feel comfortable during their visit. I learned alot at this job including medical terminology, digitizing, scheduling, etc.

Too many chiefs not enough good indians.
No way idiot (Current Employee), CRMCFebruary 10, 2012
Pros: in 1993, it used to be a good hospital, but not anymore.
Cons: they got greedy and careless and became snobs.
This hospital in run horrible. The care is very risky. Working there is scary as well, employees fear. Too many mgmt staff. This hospital hires outside companies that they pay a lot of money for that do useless jobs, rather than helping their employees. Benefits stink and they know it and refuse to do better. The little guy will lose working for this hospital. Do not go there for care or work there.

Very productive
Cheyenne, WY (Former Employee), Certified Medical CoderNovember 4, 2011
Pros: benefits
Cons: set up makes it easy to be distracted
This is a very productive driven place that was beginning to focus on education. The coworkers are friendly and very open atmosphere.

Um, coding stinks here, need to get coders up to the level of other hospitals, as trying to figure out payment for core measures, quality, this place is horrible.

Education? after initial orientation went to unit and "thrown into" high nurse to patient ratio's, floated without orientation to unit, just "winged it" Hey you can get paid a whole lot more money as a travelor RN and feel protected by your agency. The units I was on didn't have clinical educators. Went back to Denver as a travelor, better pay, continuing education, and support from management, THIS organization provides none. Been an RN to long to put up with this kind of abuse. Don't work here unless you want to lay your license on the line everytime you work because they will throw you under the bus.
