HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK!
SALES ASSOCIATE (Former Employee), CABAZON,CA –
Cons: 2 hour shifts, drama, low pay, excessive goals, main manager's negative attitude
A TYPICAL DAY IS MAKING A SALES GOAL, UPT, RIDICULOUS EMAIL GOAL, AND CLEANING (IF YOU DON'T YOUR HOURS WILL BE CUT AND YOU WILL RECEIVE NO HOURS FOR THE WEEK OR EVEN GET SENT HOME EARLY). THE PAY IS MINIMUM AND IS NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT OF WORK. THEY ARE ALWAYS HIRING BECAUSE EVERYONE WHO GETS HIRED QUITS. THE ONLY MANAGER WHO ACTUALLY CARES IS THE ASSISTANT – more...  MANAGER WHO DOESN'T GET ENOUGH CREDIT. THE REST OF THE MANAGEMENT WILL TALK DOWN TO YOU AND NOT VALUE YOU AS AN EMPLOYEE. THE COWORKERS ARE FUN, ENERGETIC PEOPLE TO WORK WITH BUT MOST OF THEM ARE GOSSIPERS AND DRAMA STARTERS. THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB IS HAVING TO PUT UP WITH THE MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES WHO WILL STEAL YOUR SALES. THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART IS GOING HOME AFTER A HORRID DAY AT WORK. IF YOU DON'T LIKE BEING FAKE AND DON'T LIKE BEING A COMPLETE STEREOTYPE OF AN ANNOYING SALES ASSOCIATE THEN DON'T APPLY BECAUSE YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND GAS MONEY. – less

Fun place to work.
Sales Associate (Current Employee), San Antonio, TX –
Pros: flexible schedules
Cons: only managers have full time employment, other employees only work part-time.
It is a very good company and a fun place to work. Co-workers are excellent; I have learned a lot working with this company. The hardest part of the job is not making my quota as far as sales. It feels good and compensating when I make my quota.

Challenging
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Houston, TX –
Assist customers as a sales/fashion consultant, responsible for register, freight, put-backs and store maintenance. The management was something that needed work. I enjoyed creating entire wardrobes for the regulars that came into the store.

Woman clothing(fashion express)
Sales associate (Former Employee), Atlantic City, NJ –
Pros: the dicount
Cons: short breaks sometimes no break
A typical day at chicos would be coming in and helping a customer find exactly what she needs ,setting up a fitting room, and adding accessories.I learned that you have to really be a friendly person for this job and that i am, so it works out well for me. The management team is very helpful even the district manager. They provide training online.The – more...  co-workers are very hard working friendly people. They work as a team. The hardest part of the job is not being able to return an item for a determined customer. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that each customer got there own personal amazing service. – less

A great place to work with good benefits and pretty good pay.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Main St.Huntington Beach, CA –
Pros: purchase the clothes at a discount, met a lot of very nice ladies.
Cons: on your feet for hours, and some customers were not real nice.
I would arrive at my scheduled time and clock in on the computer. On Saturday mornings I would deposit the cash, checks and credit card payments we received the day before. Clean everything up so it looked nice for the customers. Management was great and so were the co-workers. The hardest part was putting all the cloths back after they were tried on. – more...  Also difficult to keep clothing folded and in nice stacks. People would just go through the clothes like you wouldn't believe. The most enjoyable part of the job was to put a whold outfit together for some one.
This was also a job while I was looking for a better job. – less

Not totally fair
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Chesapeake, VA –
Pros: nice clothes, discounts
Cons: pay, grief, some management unfair.
I think this company has fabulous clothing for women. They fit everyone. But, they are unfair with pay for the jobs you have to do and the grief you put up with in the store! I also think some management treats employees unfairly.

Not an enjoyable experience, I would rate them minus if it were available
Lead Sales Associate (Former Employee), Peoria, AZ –
Pros: cheap clothes
Training was very bad, was told the third day I worked that there was a thief among them, not an environment I want any part of. Waste of paper. Very cut throat business. Would not recommend to anyone.

Fun place to work
Raleigh, NC (Current Employee), Sales Associate –
Pros: great employee discounts
Cons: bonus program could be much better.
This is a part-time job that I took while looking for a full-time position. It doesn't feel like a job, but a fun place to work.

Poor upper management
Associate (Current Employee) –
Working here is sucking the life from me. It used to be a great place to work until the recent changes in the company. Poor quality merchandise, lack of QC in their overseas factories, DM and SM couldn't care less about their associates well-being.
