Immediate Opening for an Early Childhood Center Director (SW OKC)
We are opening a new childcare center and are currently seeking positions for a Early Childhood Center Director, Master Teachers and Preschool Teachers.
In order to be considered for the positions, you must meet all state licensing requirements, including:

Early Childhood Director must have:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must already have or able to obtain at least a Bronze Level director credentials and
  • ECD/CD Knowledge and Skills: 6+ approved credit hours in ECE/CD or a minimum of 90+ formal hours with at least 10 hours in each of the seven knowledge and skill areas: child growth and development; child guidance and management; child observations and assessment, curriculum and instructional methods; family and community relationships; health and safety of young children; professionalism and leadership or a recognized credential or certificate
  • Administration and Management Knowledge Skills -- a minimum of 40+ formal hours with at least 10 hours in any of the Management Knowledge/Skills areas: Educational Programming and family support; personnel and professional self-awareness; staff management and human relations; leadership and advocacy; program operations and facilities management; legal management; fiscal management and
  • 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting or 12 months of documented administrative internship or supervised lab and
  • a minimum of two points in professional contributions
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Specific duties would include but not be limited to:

  • Make decisions in conjunction with owners regarding the budget, policies, procedures and supervision of center.
  • Ensure the safety and health of all children in the program by center and staff compliance of city, state and federal regulations.
  • Fill open positions in classrooms and group children appropriately. Maintain a waiting list of potential future clients.
  • Select, retain, evaluate and develop qualified staff to support child care operations and motivate staff through effective leadership.
  • Oversee implementation of curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and appropriate ongoing communication with participants, parents, employees, volunteers and all related committees.
  • Prepare annual budget and monitor revenue and expenses and implement corrective measures to ensure effective fiscal responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Master Teachers must have the following:
CDA, CCP, Certificate of Mastery or Early Childhood Degree at minimum
CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire
ELCCT Training within 90 days of hire
Must maintain licensing requirements
Clear OSBI/Childcare
DHS Fingerprinting

Preschool Teachers must have the following:
CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire
ELCCT Training within 90 days of hire
Must maintain licensing requirements
Clear OSBI/Childcare
DHS Fingerprinting
Previous childcare experience is a preferred.
