Internship (Former Employee), Bristol, VAAugust 20, 2013
Pros: great team of staff who support one another
Cons: there were no available paid positions
The CAC is an excellent work place. The staff work together as a team with a clear focus on the mission of the organization. The CAC also provides abuse prevention and community awareness services. As an MSW student my primary role was providing individual and group counseling to children who had experienced abuse. Counseling techniques included play therapy, TF-CBT, and solution-focused therapy. The most enjoyable part of the job was helping victims of abuse to find healing. The hardest part of the job was leaving it when my internship ended. – less
