The Children's Home has been serving the needs of children at the same location in Stockton for 132 years.

We are actively recruiting for several positions (listed below).

ALL positions require that applicants be at least 21 years of age or older and have a valid California Drivers' License with a DMV driving record that has no more than two (2) points for minor violations. In addition, the applicant must have a private vehicle at work with auto insurance on that vehicle, and a clear criminal background.

Applicants must pass a physical exam to demonstrate mental, physical, and occupational competence to perform their assigned tasks. Must be able to actively participate in student behavior management including supervision of students and crisis prevention, physical restraint to protect student(s), and other crisis interventions according to State Licensing and CHS regulations.

YOUTH SERVICE WORKER 1 -- Part-time/On-call position; must be able to work any day on any shift. The position requires that you be available to work forty (40) hours per week, however, forty (40) hours per week are not guaranteed. There are also 40-hours of mandatory trainings that are held periodically throughout the year and mandatory monthly team meetings. The pay is $10.00 per hour for Day Shift and Swing Shift, and $11.00 per hour for Night Shift.

YOUTH SERVICE WORKER 3 -- Full-time position with benefits. Shift is 10:45pm to 7:00am; Friday through Tuesday. Pay is $11.50 per hour. Training and team meeting requirements are the same as listed in the Youth Service Worker 1 position.

YOUTH SERVICE WORKER 4R -- Full-time position with benefits. Must be able to work any shift on any day. Training and team meeting requirements are the same as for the Youth Service Worker 1 position. The pay is $11.50 per hour.

YOUTH SERVICE WORKER 5 -- Full-time position with benefits. Work schedule is 46 hours per week. Two (2) shifts are available -- Sat, 3pm-11pm; Sun, 7am-3pm; Mon & Tues, 2pm-11pm; Wed, 11am-11pm /OR/ Wed, 11am-11pm; Thurs & Fri, 2pm-11pm; Sat, 7am-3pm; Sun, 3pm-11pm. Rate of pay is $12.00 per hour. Training and team meeting requirements are the same as for the Youth Service Worker 1.

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER -- Must have a Bachelor degree with Teaching credential (multiple or single subject) with minimum of a mild/moderate credential waiver required. Master degree in Special Education with mild/moderate credential preferred. Must be Intern Eligible. Pay is dependent on experience, starts at $3,101.00 per month with benefits.
