I enjoy being an employee at Chop. It is very welcoming and comfortable work environment. On a typical day at work i would begin by assisting my supervisor with eating disorder trays, counting calories and making sure that the food on their tray adds up to the patients caloric count.After-wards, i would go to my assigned floor and greet, and introduce myself to parents and patients, explain how the nutrition departments room service works, and deliver patient trays. Management at Chop is phenomenal, they allow you to understand their duties as management, always open to all questions and concerns and an overall pleasure to work with. The hardest part of my job would be when some of the patients don't make it. Although this is a hospital where the goal is to save lives, some of them are beyond the doctors hands where there is nothing else they can do and it becomes very tragic and heartbreaking to have to see family members face their loss. Overall, it is a pleasure serving the children and their parents as they are very appreciative for what the staff of Chop provide for them.
