The Assistant Preschool Director is responsible to support the overall day-to-day
operation of Childrens Lighthouse and creating a safe, educational childcare environment. The Assistant Preschool Director reports to the
A. Has minimum of 1 years experience as Assistant Preschool Director.
B. Working on meeting the State Requirements for a State license as a Preschool
Director, preferably with a non-renewable certificate.
C. Maintains CPR and First Aid
II. Specific Duties
A. Supports Childrens Lighthouse policies, procedures and systems to ensure
safe, healthy environment in compliance with Childrens Lighthouse and State
Standards at all times. Specific procedures of critical compliance are but not
limited to: release procedures, sign in and out, medication, bus run/field trip
B. Participates responsibly in marketing and special events including open
house, trainings, parent meetings, staff meetings and corporate events.
C. Effects and supports change required for continual compliance and
D. Recruits, hires, orients, trains, supervises, observes and evaluates staff
along with Director.
E. Manages, supports and follows budget in compliance with corporate
F. Represents Childrens Lighthouse to public, community, parents, visitors and
staff with professionalism and integrity.
G. Attends meetings and trainings as directed.
H. Consistently follows through with all duties and miscellaneous duties as
assigned in competent and timely manner.
I. Day to day operations in compliance with Quality Assessment Standards of
J. Assumes major responsibility for staff schedule, labor budget and staff files.
K. Wise productive use of time.
L. Follows through with all assigned duties and additional duties as assigned.
M. Able to accept and handle change.
N. Receives instruction and direction in appropriate manner.
O. Able to work flexible hours between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm.
P. Build and maintain excellent parent and staff relationships
