training for positions
manager (Former Employee), twin falls, idMarch 27, 2014
Pros: health benifits
Cons: no sufficient training, not living up to their word
They give you VERY little training and they expect you to work 80 hours a week. The coworkers are horrible for the most part. They won't speak to you or give you any assistance when you ask for help. I believe most of that comes from the stress and competiveness to get moved to the next level. They say their employeea are like family but these are people – more... that laid off 500 people the week before Christmas...if that is how they treat family I don't want to be a part of it. Everyone is constantly afraid of losing their jobs so that makes for a cut throat environment. They have a "Golden Standard" motto but will pass out yogurt to employees that have mold in it. They sure aren't a Golden Standard company! – less

Demanding
Inventory Supervisor (Current Employee), South Edmeston, NYFebruary 3, 2014
Pros: flexible work schedule
Cons: long hours, unorganized processes and procedures, stressful, distance
A day in the life of at Chobani, is stressful and the work doesn't stop when you leave.

Dedicated, loyal employee with a passion for excellence and success this job was perfect for me and my time to shine. I started at the bottom and worked my way up. Growth within the company is always an option.

Extremely demanding and unorganized leaves employees – more... stressed and overworked. Salaried employees typical week hours range from 80-100 hours. It never stops. – less

management is always changing hours, shifts and length of shifts
Forklift Operator (Former Employee), Twin Falls, IDSeptember 13, 2013
Pros: free yogurt and thats about it
Cons: constantly changing hours and management
Its not hard work if you can pay attention to details and do what your supposed to. Too many employees dont care, just want the paycheck at end of week. Management is all talk, get nothing done and each shifts managers gave different oí deas, none are on the same page. Hours, shifts, lengths of shifts, schedules are constantly changing, very gard to – more... have a life with your family when you cant plan things due to changing schedules. Hr is a joke, takes 2 days for them to call back, and they dont follow their own guildlines or employee rule book. Had a lots of hopes for thjs company but i am really sorry for the current empliyees, who knows how long they will have a job before the fda shuts them down for bad quality and sanitation. – less

Stressful
Cupper, Cup runner, Filler Operator, Break Relief (Former Employee), New Berlin, NYApril 23, 2013
Pros: kept me active, decent wages.
Cons: strenuous work exhausted the body, stressful work environment, disagreeable coworkers
While I had no time outside of work to focus on anything else other than recovering, I enjoyed working at Chobani while I could, and would do it again if I had the opportunity.
While it may have been difficult to communicate at most times, and not everybody would agree on how to do things, for the most part things tended to be somewhat straightforward.

Unethical management team
Manager (Former Employee), Twin Falls IdahoMarch 14, 2013
Pros: decent health benefits
Cons: horrid, unethical, unorganized, and terrible communications skills from the mgt. team.
Twin Falls plant is ran by an unethical dictator director and a corrupt human resource management that works with him to cover up lies!!! I was part of their management team so I witnessed the director making unethical decisions on the termination of the floor employees. Their is no employee mentoring or coaching. If they like you then your safe if – more... they don't count your days of employment. – less

Long Hours but good money
Laborer (Former Employee), Norwich, NYFebruary 11, 2013
Pros: big pay checks
Cons: lond hours
I worked 12+ hours a day, which cut down on time with my children. On the upside, I had the money to pay my bills and keep my children up to date in clothing. My co-workers and managers were amazing.

Horrid Management
IT Candidate (Former Employee), Norwich, NYFebruary 5, 2013
Pros: good free yogurt
Cons: too many to list
I met with these folks on multiple occasions for professional positions. Line of communication was completely nonexistent. The conversations were good, but it was clear that the leadership was lacking essential skills to grow the business at the scale it was growing. Overall this ineptitude will cost the company more then what it would have cost to – more... hire me to fix their problems. Didnt even get a thank you for my time. Not a good way to attract top talent, in a nearly nonexistent market. Keep paying through the nose for contractors from out of state to cover your rear end! – less

Hard work and great co-workers
Lead Quality Control Tech (Current Employee), South Edmeston, NYJanuary 3, 2013
Pros: greath healthcare, only work 3 or 4 days a week
Cons: poor management, little to no job security
12 hour work days, short breaks and more things to do then you have time for.
Learned that hard work is not always rewarded as it should be.
Management is poor and needs to focus on quality over quantity.
Non-management co-workers are great and work hard.
Many non-English speaking workers.
Working 12 hours straight with few and short breaks.
Having – more... 3 or 4 days off a week is fantastic. – less

Bagger (Former Employee), South Edmeston, NYDecember 11, 2012
Pros: free lunches
Cons: sometimes 12 hours made my feet really sore
This is my all time favorite job I had. The pay was great the people were awesome. If I needed help and had questions it was taken care of.
