Christian Health Care Center
Christian Health Care Center was founded in 1911 by a group of deacons from local churches in the Reformed tradition. Today, CHCC - a non-profit organization open to anyone regardless of race, sex, or religion – provides a continuum of high-quality, family-centered care services for adults and seniors and mental-health services in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with the Christian principles on which the institution was founded.
Care services for adults and seniors include Heritage Manor, a 184-bed nursing home; the 68-bed David F. Bolger Post-acute Care Unit; the four-bed Valley Hospice at Christian Health Care Center; Southgate, a special-care, 44-bed, inpatient nursing facility offering behavioral-management treatment; the Longview, an 80-unit assisted-living facility; Hillcrest Residence, a 39-bed residence for independent seniors; Evergreen Court, a complex of 40 apartments for independent seniors; and Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne and Wyckoff.
Mental-health services include Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital, a full-service, 58-bed inpatient hospital for adult and geriatric patients; Ramapo Ridge Partial Program, a voluntary, short-term outpatient program; Christian Health Care Counseling Center; and Pathways, a partial-hospitalization program to treat adults who experience both a developmental disability and a co-existing psychiatric disorder. – less
