This position allowed me to provide more clinical support for our inpatient traumas and acute onset of traumas in the emergency department while at my typical site of work.

typical day at work is calling patients to f/u with their studies, helping with other information it could be, from doctors appt, to needing help for clothes, food, or home.

I work educating the Hispanic community about cancer screening and the important. but at the same time point them in the right directions with help.

Christiana Hospital is the largest hosptial in Delaware and is a high volume hospital. Their cardiovascular wing is readily expanding, and I have had to opportunity to work with both vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists. Both surgeons and interventionalists provide feedback on each technologist's images, which has greatly aided my professional – more... growth. A typical work day for me is 8 hour's with a 30-45 mintue lunch. i start my day by pulling chart's and getting the gym right for patient's. I answer phone's, while also assisting patients and staff. I've learned to use four different computer systems, and also learned to accuracy take co-pay's Being able to slove problem without supervise and very proficient – more... in communication with patient's and staff. OVERALL I LIKED WORKING AT CHRISTIANA CARE SOME OF THE STAFF WAS RUDE BUT YOU GET THAT IN ANY WORK PLACE. THEY PAY NICE AND HAVE ROOM FOR GROWTH I WOULD STILL BE WORKING THERE IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR A MEDICAL ISSUE I HAD.

Do not care for the company as a whole. In the location I was in had great people to work for. the women that trained me were very helpful and more than willing to show me any and everything I needed to know. Even the doctors were very helpful and encouraging.

The people who worked on the fourth floor however...not so congenial. Spent too much time – more... worrying about things they had nothing to do with and putting their two cents in where it did not belong. There was way too much pettiness and nosiness. Very childish! – less

I learned to deal with patients healing and in pain, transferring patients with muliple repaired fractures, and working alone.

Great learning enviormnet, great staff/teamwork with very supportive management.

I had a caseload of 4-5 patients on the Medical/Surgical floor.
