Chroma Technology is looking for an individual to join our growing IT team, who can assist end users with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. This position involves daily one-on-one interaction with individuals to provide support, training and hardware assistance in a timely fashion. You will also be responsible for the installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.

Respond to “level 1” tickets and ad-hoc requests
Handle patch management and updates for all desktops and laptops
Perform preventative maintenance (physical and digital cleaning) for all PCs
Setup, install, and configure desktops and laptops
Perform diagnostics and repair desktops and laptops
Perform hardware upgrades according to schedule/need
Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software
Perform basic malware/spyware removal
Trains and orients staff on use of hardware and software and provides ongoing support
Manage printer/copier resources and maintenance (point person)
Assist in maintaining network/telephone system cabling
Secondary support of IP Phone system and servers when assistance is required

Experience troubleshooting Windows 7 and XP and Microsoft Office products
Experience choosing and installing PC and laptop hardware
Experience installing software, patches, and updates
Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems
Familiarity with Windows Active Directory domains
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain detailed documentation
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Ability to lift computer equipment of up to 50 pounds
A+ Certification preferred but not required
Self-starter, detail oriented, independent worker
Good problem solving skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
