What you’ll be doing…
In this role you will be responsible for working with customers in technical pre-sales as well as post-sales implementation. This is a ground up position that requires hands on customer engagement as well as good customer facing and presentation skills. The individual must be highly motivated, well versed in data warehousing, big data & analytics, have previous start-up experience and ready for a challenge. You will be a member of the customer solutions team and work alongside a small fast-paced group focused on providing leading edge solutions to customers for integrating any type of data, on any platform, in any environment. Additional responsibilities include:
- Delivery of presales and post sales technical services including proof of concepts
- Creating customer support and technical presales infrastructure and tools
- Development of best practices
- Development and delivery of education and training
- Communicating with engineering to provide direct feedback from the field
- Providing a positive customer experience that results in satisfied customers that are more than willing to provide positive references upon request
Who you are…
You have at least 8-years years of experience in software technology, engineering, consulting or support, including extensive database (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, MySQL) experience, and technical pre-sales, consulting or support related responsibilities. (You must be a SQL expert with solid Linux experience.) You should also have strong technical skills (multiple database technologies, knowledge of parallel processing, etc.) to support hands on implementation services, and a Bachelors or higher in Computer Science and/or business.
Candidates with one or more of the following will be preferred:
- Strong organizational skills
- Data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics background
- Understanding of complex SQL language
- Understanding of Map/Reduce or distributed paradigms.
- Previous experience in a startup environment.
