Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Midwest City, OK – October 20, 2016
It was great working at Citi Trends. I started just a sale associate. My time working I learned how to take order move a fast pace also customer service skills. My coworkers was great love working with them at work we all was one big family we worked together to get things done. The hardest part of the job sometimes was merchandizing. The most enjoyable part was meeting new people and helping them with fashion.
2nd Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Tuscaloosa, AL – October 14, 2016
Don't waste your time applying. The store manager is awful to work with. She is petty and very unprofessional. Horrible experience. Threats daily. As soon as you do something that she doesn't like she's against you. Awful job load and just a messy place. Oh let's not forget the extreme bias in the place. I've injured myself in that store and she could care less. The pay wasn't worth a dime compared to peace of mind. She'd criticize associates calling them fat condescending them and wasn't supportive of her co workers or other managers. This lady is a bully who can't keep anyone in store.
2nd Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Tuscaloosa, AL – October 11, 2016

Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Pine Bluff, AR – October 6, 2016
Unless you plan on moving up the company ladder this job isn't for you. The company caters more toward the "urban" lifestyle so you won't get a chance to encounter various situations. The managers get upset if you tell them you want to pursue something in your field that you actually went to school for.
Being able to work around a lot of people and learing the environment of being able to meet new people is great. Coming in on my off days when someone called in or they needed extra help was just a good choice that I made to get extra hours
Production Associate/Inventory Specialist (Former Employee) – Darlington, SC – September 26, 2016
Working at Citi Trends was exciting every day there was something different to do. I learned to do varies jobs especially when the work was slow. Management let the ones that wanted to stay and work continue to work on what ever they assigned us to do.
As I worked as a retail sales associate. I learned theirs a high demand for great customer service. Also that it is necessary to adhere to company policies for the establishment to be successful in providing excellent customer service.
Being effective at quickly processing customer transactions

It was an interesting environment to work in not the most friendly of people. Very understaffed could not get proper training theft was very big in the store. The hours were very poor the expectations were high but the reliability of staff was very low.

Citi Trends is a growing company that sells urban street clothing. Expanding by opening stores along the east cost Citi Trends has created it's self as a debit free company, this passes savings to customers. Have not yet been employed long enough to have formed an opinion about the company however honored to be apart of a solid management team.
