Common goals within the department coupled with highly competent co-workers provide a collaborative environment that is exciting to be part of. People there are great to work with and to learn from just this particular department is terrible to work for because of all the guidelines it takes to actually be able to receive incentive and it's based all on production nothing else which was difficult but overall great place to work for other than personal loans collection department.

Investment Specialist (Former Employee), New York, NYAugust 25, 2014
Pros: global, diversified, many group affiliations, benefits.
Cons: life-work balance, large company, compensation
I learned excellent customer servicing skills and the ability to 'get it done' even in the most difficult situation. Having a good manager is key to advancement and promotion
My favorite part of the job was the daily contact with my clients and the satisfaction of getting the job done. The hardest was the absence of team spirit at crucial times and – more... management's lack of loyalty to dedicated employees. – less

Low reputation in the financial services/banking industry,
director (Current Employee), new york, nyAugust 25, 2014
Upper management does not care about loyalty, support, and concerns of the employees. The focus is on who has what title, and
"how pretty" the lengthy presentation slides look and not the content. The HR department does not represent the employees only management. Citi is just too big to manage.
