The team/family environment that was based on sales and goals. Quarterly goals that helped to keep you driven to excel in sales, loans, and investments.

Although quite different from the Charter One Bank they bought out. They are a not a bad company to work for.

Co-workers were friendly. Everyone had a desk and computer where we resolved issues for debit card holders. I found them to be satisfying. I was the person that resolved the most problems in a day..on or close to 200. I was chosen to train new employees. I like working there. I learned how to use the software. Citizens Bank only cares about sales performance. If you do not meet your sales baseline you will get fired. Also very hard to get transfer to a different position,

Citizens Bank is a good start to the banking industry. They are, however, not a career stop. You will take away many things from employment with them, such as being more comfortable on the phones and making outbound calls and being able to follow strict directions and making sure that everything is done by the book. I was the head teller so I was responsible for all the vault cash, opening new accounts, and handeling customer service issues. great environment to work in and co workers were wonderful. I really enjoyed helping customers and being able to fulfill ther needs with the services that we offered.

Was very unahappy at this employer. I worked in a branch and it was a sales environment. Asked for a lot of work for very little pay. Upper mangement treated people very poorly. Only cared about numbers and goals.

Be very careful - the backstabbing over sales will make your heaed spin
