Citizens Campaign For The Environment(CCE) is currently hiring entry-level campaign staff to organize strong grassroots campaigns to protect the health, economy, environment and livelihood of New York communities.
Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to the environment, to nature, progressive politics and the vision of a just society in which the voices of everyday citizens overpower that of the multinational corporation. Excellent communication skills, strong background in community service or customer service, strong commitment to environmental, social, and political justice, ability to thrive in and support a team dynamic, a positive attitude, self-motivation, quick learner, and a good sense of humor.

Our staff consists of committed, professional highly skilled activists. New employees receive extensive training and continuing support on issue knowledge and campaign skills. All staff members attend regular seminars given by political or environmental authorities throughout the Hudson Valley community or from within our organization. We have a strong and early focus on staff career development that involves travel and management training opportunities.

Our grassroots political organizers speak to New York citizens about New York issues, informing and educating the public, building support and channeling that support into action. When a critical mass of citizens speaks at the same time about the same issue, change becomes possible, the possible becomes reality, and reality becomes a better one. CCE organizers act as the catalyst for such positive change here, in our own backyard.
