Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Senior Auditor will assist the Chief Compliance Officer with conducting internal audits of City departments. The ideal candidate must be able to think strategically and exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment. The ideal candidate must also possess strong analytical skills, be a strong manager, collaborative, and a team player. Must have superb accounting and auditing skills and be able to establish audit scopes, analyze findings and recommend solutions consistent with applicable laws, ordinances, City policies and labor agreements.
Qualifications: Candidates interested in applying must have a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in accounting. Advanced degree preferred. Four (4) years professional accounting experience to include internal auditing is required. Experience in a supervisory capacity is desirable. Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant, or Certified Government Auditing Professional required. Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Salary and benefits package includes: The annual salary range is $65,977.60 - $90,625.60. Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications. Medical, dental and life insurance, leave allowances, retirement plan and more.
