Fun workplace with exceptional training
Swim Instructor & Lifeguard (Former Employee), La Mirada, CAJune 21, 2012
Pros: fun work environment with competitive pay
Cons: unreliable hours
A summer position at the City of La Mirada's Splash Regional Aquatic Center is fast paced, structured, and fun.

A typical day at work is spent outside in the warm sun and water. It may also include random safety tests to keep staff on their feet but training more than compensates to prepare you for any emergencies and other job related skills.

The most enjoyable part of this job was the competitive pay and the fulfillment of teaching young kids how to swim. The only significant draw back was the negative and unprofessional attitude of some of the co-workers.

Pros: free lunch
Cons: cleaning after everyones mess
a typical day at work is helping customers get around. i learned to use my voice, to communicate with other people. co-workers are positive and very well to work with. the hardest part of the job is clean after everyone. the most enjoyable part of the job is making the customers happy
