Provide accounts payable and office support 20-25 hours per week in the office, and at remote locations in the Plano area as required, for a local nonprofit organization. Some evenings and Saturday hours may be required. Daytime hours would be 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm., Monday through Friday.

  • Account for financial transactions by using established chart of accounts using QuickBooks Accounting Software and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Reconcile mileage and expense account reimbursements according to company policy
  • Balances accounts by reconciling entries and accounts prior to month end close
  • Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts as directed by CPA
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents and records according to policy
  • Prepare all required documents to the CPA within 5 business days after the end of the month so that the financial reports can be prepared in a timely manner
  • Liaison with CPA to convey updates of company policies and procedures
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
  • Cross train in all office clerical support positions to provide vacation and paid time off coverage
  • Assist with recruitment and retention of new members
