While management claims to be open to suggestions and receptive to employees views, the reality is that they are closed minded to anyone that does not agree with their view, they simply want their employees to follow and not question the direction they want to go. And should any employee question the perceived policy for a better definition, they are met with passive aggressiveness, all the while management seeking their misguided reasons for termination. Even though those people in positions of departmental management are usually the cause of the ongoing hostility, they are not perceived by the City Manager as having performed their duties in a harassing manner. Be weary of working in any administrative position within the City. You will be treated as a third rate citizen that unless you kiss up to management, you will not receive any accolades.
