Pros: small town atmosphere, laid back work environment.
Cons: one hour, unpaid lunch, numerous night meetings.
The great thing about this job is there is no typical day at work. I may have a cycle of responsibilities, but they are different each and every time because of the nature of Planning and Economic Development. The Land Development, Business Attraction, and Business Retentions responsibilities are the bread and butter of this job and are a very fulfilling – more...  line of work. The City of Richmond, Office of the City Council was a dynamic place to work. The pulse of the city's politics passed through the office. The supervisor, councilmembers and staff were professional and caring. It was a great environment.
