Good atmosphere sometimes
Hostess/Cashier (Former Employee), Thousand Oaks, CAOctober 16, 2013
Cons: had to pay for a discount on the food
Some days work would be a breeze and others it would not. One main issue with the job was the inconsistency of the managers. Since it is a restaurant there were multiple managers. Each manager had his or her own way of doing things. It is also very difficult to move up in this restaurant.

Pantry Cook (Former Employee), Roseville, CAOctober 4, 2013
Pros: loved my job it was fun and i got to work in more than one area. so i learned more.
Cons: i really cant say anything on this except i wanted more hours and could not get them that's all.
I found that when I was working there it was very much like a family atmosphere. I was dealing with the death of my father and had taken some time off and returned to work and I felt like I was truly missed. I feel as though the company does care about its employees and their families as well. The work atmosphere was always full of positive energy. – more... I even showed up early on several occasions just for no reason. – less

This upbeat restaurant has a great ambiance in its space. The co-workers and customers love to return.
Host, Cashier (Former Employee), Northridge, CAJune 7, 2013
Pros: lunches are somewhat free
Cons: short breaks, too many managers
This job requires you to be on your feet more than half the time of your shift. You are needed to work and not stand around as most other jobs you may feel you can get away with. Your management as well as co-workers will be sure to keep your toes as the traffic with customers storming in and out of the restaurant can be overwhelming. My most enjoyable – more... part of the job would be to try all the new foods, even though its not the best for you. – less

My first restaurant where I was promoted into management
Restaurant Manager (Former Employee), Lombard, ILMay 21, 2013
Pros: friendships
Cons: usually having 7 manager in the building
The hardest part was the transition from server to management. Not because of financial reasons, but more so of understanding the difference between friends and co-workers especially under management. Each day was different it depended on our AOR that day. There were days I was on the expo line, and there were days when I was a floor manager dealing – more... with the servers and the guests. Other times I was the large party manager and plotted the night out with large parties. Over I thought that I would retire from this restaurant, but I got laid off. – less

Great place to work.
Hostess (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZMay 21, 2013
For the short time that I was working there, all of the workers were friendly and always offered to help me where I didn't quite succeed. My manager was a great woman, striven for success and good leadership. I greatly love the food, service and hospitality I was able to provide to the guests. I respect everyone that works there, because it's quite – more... a busy place which received high expectations for being a "Claim Jumper". I was only there for a short period of time because I became very sick and was about to move out of state to help a family member, but it seemed to not work out. – less

I was treated as an Inconvenience while i worked here.
Pantry chef (Former Employee), Reno, NVApril 23, 2013
On any typical day I would come into work at about 8:00 am. I was in charge or prepping the pantry for the rest of the day, this included setting up the stations, stocking with; salad, pizza, and dessert ingredients, and baking the days bread supply. the managers all were very nice aside from one who seemed to have a real problem with me. unfortunately – more... I was only allotted 2 maybe 4 hours a week. – less

Senior Operations Manager (Former Employee), Redmond, WAFebruary 28, 2013
Pros: flexible work schedules
Cons: lack of benefits
I worked for this company for 10 years in various positions. Great internal advancement. Excellent place for students or others that need a flexible schedule. Management is made up of people that have worked their way up through the ranks, making them better and more understanding than the average restaurant manager. Income is hit or miss depending – more... on your station and the time of year. – less

fun place to work
Server (Former Employee), Saint George, UTFebruary 28, 2013
I worked with the general public. Face to face interaction was apart of the job. I dealt with taking orders and fufilling orders. When there was an issue with orders I would be the one to take care of the problem.

Server (Current Employee), Henderson, NVDecember 29, 2012
Were serve many people throughout the day. Both large parties and small covers. The management is high energy and there to make sure the servers and staff succeed. Co-workers all get along and enjoy each other, and help out when needed.

Productive fun work place
Busser (Former Employee), Las Vegas, NVOctober 15, 2012
Pros: met good people
Cons: disrespectful manager
*Hard work every day from when I would clock in to clock out
*Being a busser at Claim Jumper wasn't an easy job I did everything that no body wanted to do, so basically I got stuck with all the dirty jobs.
*I've learned not to quit at anything I do, because its not gonna benefit me in the long run, and it made me the person that I'am today.
*My co-workers – more... love them all they are really great and fun people to talk to especially with advice.
*The hardest part about the job would have to be is going home, its so hard to leave that place because there was alot of work to do, and my co-workers are the most interesting people that I had ever met.
*The fun part is getting paid and closing time. – less

Fun, Fast paced work environment
Server-Management Trainee (Former Employee), San Diego, CAJune 16, 2012
Pros: fun work place, good company values and expectations
Cons: work hours
Company standards are the best I have seen yet and as a former employee I cant say enough about the place.

Food is amazingly good, it is presented beautifly every time, and I have never been a part of a company that really cared about the customers total dinning experience like this. Their only advertisement is by word of mouth and yet every night – more... brings a wait list.

The store G.M. is my hero and one of the best guys I have ever met. He works hard and focuses on his building and his employees. My hat is off to this business and it is no wonder they stay so busy...

Work pace is more my style; fun and exciting. Only part that I did not like was working 70+ hours a week. – less

Office Assistant (Former Employee), Park City, UTMarch 23, 2012
Pros: boss was very easy to work with.
Cons: no benefits at all, part time job
I worked with my employer the only in the office. There was enough work to keep me busy. Get mail, entry sales of restaurant, answer multi-line phone, keep employees files updated.
