Title: Arbitration Support Specialist
Company: Advanced Subrogation Resources
Reports to: Arbitration Supervisor
FSLA Status Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Provide support to the arbitration department through claim analysis and research. Facilitate filing and record keeping. Track and organize files and documentation. Assist in all aspects of data management and team coordination.
Essential Functions

  • Review facts of loss and analyze/assess liability and damages
  • Gather relevant and necessary evidence to support your theory of liability
  • Communicate persuasive arguments both verbally and in writing presenting your theory of liability
  • Review and answer correspondence, requests for information
  • Collect on awards
  • Ability to think ahead and to plan over a one to two year time span with the ability to see the “bigger picture” of the organization
  • Continually strive to improve the process by not just pointing out problems but also by finding solutions
  • Maintain a positive attitude gaining respect with co-workers and management

Required Skills and Licensure:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Results driven, develop standards, foster teamwork, handle pressure, give feedback
  • Knowledge of rules of evidence and theories of liability for auto and property claims
  • Ability to effectively communicate between departments and co-workers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical, processing, and critical thinking skills
  • Accurate data entry
  • Excellent attendance
  • Punctuality
  • Positive attitude

Preferred Skills:

  • Casualty Adjuster License
  • Auto Cad experience
  • Math skills
  • Experience with Aras 360 Accident Reconstruction software

Education and Experience Guidelines:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred degree in Business or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in the insurance business or related field
