Working with children was challenging and exciting
Teacher (Former Employee) – Jonesboro, GA – October 20, 2013
Instilling discipline at the onset of each school year paid off in two-fold. My days were filled with working hard with the students and constantly reminding them that if they left my class without learning something NEW each day, they had been cheated. I had a very good working relations with teachers, cafeteria staff, janitorial staff and management. The hardest part of the job was witnessing families that had to struggle to attain basic needs. The most enjoyable part of the job was watching the expression on a student's face when they "did something that they did not think that they could do."
Being able to share things with students that they could relate to and learn from it.

It is a fast paced environment. The hardest part is getting paid once a month. If you are not used to that it will be difficult to keep up with. The best part of the job was serving the children and teachers. The children light up when you come through the door.
Productive environment where you are an extension of the primary teacher.

Teaching is definitely a mixture of art and science. Those teachers who realize this early on are more successful. In other words, you won't get everything you need to know about teaching from the book and the classroom lessons. There are some things about teaching that just come from the heart! The most rewarding part of the job (aside from summers, breaks, and weekends) is the role that you play in getting students from one place to the next highest place.

School Nutrition Assistant (Current Employee) – Morrow, Ga. – February 21, 2017
Work is done as a team, not all team members have same skill level or motivation to do the job. Some employees only care to do the minimum of what is required which leads to an imbalance of work load(some workers always doing more than others without compensation for doing more) Management treats all workers as if minimal supervision is needed which is not necessarily true of all workers. The most enjoyable part of job is providing nutritious meals to children, especially the ones who appreciate it. .
