Fast paced
Nutrition Worker (Former Employee) –  Jonesboro, GAJune 16, 2017
It is a fast paced environment. The hardest part is getting paid once a month. If you are not used to that it will be difficult to keep up with. The best part of the job was serving the children and teachers. The children light up when you come through the door.

English Teacher (Former Employee) –  Jonesboro, GAJune 5, 2017
This organization does not respect the teachers or students. The students are suspended for extended periods of time for small infractions. This is a horrible company.

Productive environment where you are an extension of the primary teacher.
Substitute Educator (Current Employee) –  Jonesboro, GAMay 17, 2017
An ideal position for work schedule flexibility. Various work options(time, location, position) available daily. Enables educational refreshing through review of past lessons taught. Each school is different and preference is at your discretion. The work environment is that of learning and structure. Challenges arrive when the lesson plans are unavailable and/or the class encounters disciplinary distractions. However, meeting new people and depositing knowledge within young minds is the most enjoyable aspect of the job.
Pros
Schedule flexibility and predictable earnings
Cons
Does not offer healthcare benefits or unemployment compensation

Administrator (Former Employee) –  GAMarch 28, 2017
Teaching is definitely a mixture of art and science. Those teachers who realize this early on are more successful. In other words, you won't get everything you need to know about teaching from the book and the classroom lessons. There are some things about teaching that just come from the heart! The most rewarding part of the job (aside from summers, breaks, and weekends) is the role that you play in getting students from one place to the next highest place.
Pros
Summers, holidays, weekends, breaks
Cons
Student discipline

Okay place to work but only until better employment can be obtained
School Nutrition Assistant (Current Employee) –  Morrow, Ga.February 21, 2017
Work is done as a team, not all team members have same skill level or motivation to do the job. Some employees only care to do the minimum of what is required which leads to an imbalance of work load(some workers always doing more than others without compensation for doing more) Management treats all workers as if minimal supervision is needed which is not necessarily true of all workers. The most enjoyable part of job is providing nutritious meals to children, especially the ones who appreciate it.

The schedule

low compensation
