Clayton also develops, owns and manages manufactured housing communities. The Company's 20 manufacturing plants produce homes that are marketed in 33 states through 970 retailers, of which 287 are Company-owned sales centers and 82 are Company-owned community sales offices. In August 2003, the Company was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
