Clear Channel Communications, Inc. is a diversified media company operating in three business segments: radio broadcasting, Americas outdoor advertising and international outdoor advertising. The Company owns 717 core radio stations, 288 non-core radio stations operating in the United States. It also owns approximately 209,000 Americas outdoor advertising – more... display faces and approximately 687,000 international outdoor advertising display faces. In addition, it had equity interests in various international radio broadcasting companies. As of February 13, 2008, the Company sold 217 non-core radio stations. In March 2008, the Company announced that it has completed the sale of its Television Group to Newport Television, LLC. In July 2008, the Company announced the completion of a merger with an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of CC Media Holdings, Inc., a corporation formed by a private equity group co-led by Bain Capital Partners, LLC and Thomas H.
