Sold out to Sprint
Tier 2 Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJuly 17, 2017
When Clear merged with Sprint, corporate takeover occurred and everything went down hill.

They over sold their network and upset alot of customer so all we did was deal with complaints everyday.

They outsourced and laid off everyone.

They used to have employee appreciation events and they all disappeared when Sprint moved in.
Pros
Started out great before Sprint took over.
Cons
Sprint ruined the company.

management creates an environment that encourages employees to work together as a team. Ensures that all team members know their role, and that barriers to success are removed or minimized

Unsecured job, people comes and go
Ambassador (Current Employee) –  CaliforniaJuly 2, 2017
Working for Clear could be very stressful if you don't sell a lot, they keep you in the checkpoints that nobody likes, you have 2 days sick every 6 months, if you get sick at Work or call sick, you get a warning even with a doctor's note, 2 minutes late, you get a warning, if they find you seating for a little you get a warning remember you need to be 8 hours standing, not using the phone or more warnings, people get fired all the time or leave the company as soon as they got something better, salary is low unless you make a lot of sales, need to learn how to keep your mind busy in those terminals that are slow without phones, seating and keep a smile all day long.
At the beginning they had chairs and podiums, they removed that, they had mats, they also removed that, however they expect you to make sales and escort members all day long.
Pros

Horrible and Misleading Company
Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 8, 2017
Working for CLEAR was the worst decision that I have ever made. They advertise the job as making $60k which is impossible in Atlanta because of all of the partial enrollents we receive. Management is so unprofessional. All the gossiping & lying that management does causes tension in the workplace. No one should have to feel stressed about losing their job while they're on the clock. The CEO & manager should really take a closer look on who they employ to watch over their ambassadors.
Pros
Airport discount
Cons
Short breaks, poor management, poor work environment, waste of time

Poor Management and horrible commission structure
Clear Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 3, 2017
Atlanta would be an ideal location to work as an ambassodor because of the partnership with Delta and being a Hub. However, because of all the email blast sent out by Delta to their Skymile members. Most new enrollees complete the enrollment process online which eliminates the opportunity for Ambasdors to make a commission.

This could be a great opportunity if the company were a little more transparent about the true ability to make a commission. Before applying for the job most were promised the opportunity to make anywhere between $40-$60,000 a year. This is far from the truth!
Pros
Free lunch during trainer, free membership, free coffee
Cons
Short breaks, standing for 7 to 8 hours, commission, selfish coworkers

HORRIBLE company to work for in Miami (ex employee)
Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLMarch 22, 2017
First of alll management doesn't care about you as a person, the only thing they want is for you to sale. They are unfair a lot of favoritism and gossip. There are a lot of favorites specially in the pm that think they own the company. Long hours on your feet and they treat you as if you were in the military. Pay is decent for someone just starting but that's it. DONT TAKE THIS JOb.
Pros
Nothing

Management, unfairness

Horrible Management
Tech Consultant (Former Employee) –  Denver, COMarch 15, 2017
Management needs to be replaced with people who have actual business accumen and education. Granted that this is not a highly technical job/ company you would think that there would be greater emphasis on creating a professional environment. A typical day was a joke because the "management" was never on the same page and seemed to come purely from a cheap car salesman mentality which is odd considering the product is bio metric technology within an Airport environment where greater care should be taken for who and what is done rather than promoting incompetent uneducated sales people they should hire people with actual business backgrounds or at the very least technology or security.
Pros
Some co workers, interacting with a variety of clients and people
Cons
Short breaks, immature staff, lack of real leadership, fear based tactics

Difficult hours and fluctuates on sales a lot
Sales Ambassador (Current Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJanuary 16, 2017
There is a lot of emphasis put on sales each month , there is a lot of turn over and there is no real room for advancement with in, typically you can expect to be on your feet for 8 or more hours of the day and you have to talk to a lot of passengers this job is not for the shy or soft at heart since many of those passengers will not be in the best of moods.Management usually has trouble with communication and there are a lot of misunderstandings. Constantly changing.

Ambassador (Former Employee) –  SeaTac, WAJanuary 7, 2017
The startup at SeaTac took along time. The GM could not get his act together and stay on schedule. Made promises that he could not keep. Has no support for employees. Hire anybody, put you through training then if you ask to many questions or have concerns you are fired. If you interview with this company ask what their turn over rate is. They build you up then let you down.

Co-workers were a great resource to use if you got stuck on a problem and couldn't figure it out right away.
Hardest part of the job was the customers calling that were belligerent.
Most enjoyable part of the job was helping people.

Ambassador (Current Employee) –  Miami International AirportNovember 17, 2016
Management is great when you need help they always there to help you. They are very professional and the GM is really nice! No matter your position they help you out all the time. Schedule very flexible you can adjust with the supervisor according the operation. Also you have to work in the sports arena that clear has thats even better because you can see another areas to work and doesnt have to see the same people all the time. I really recommend to work in miami airport for Clear me and pay is good cant complain. love working in this Company's

Discriminatory treat
Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Dulles virginiaNovember 11, 2016
The management at Dulles airport are racist. Discriminate against their employees. Clear has many irregularities and then dismiss employees if due to failure of their irregularities, some mistake is made. They threaten you with dismissal every day. They have no respect for employees.
Pros
Just the salaries
Cons
Short break, no respect, racism
