We service business clients world-wide, where each client is unique in its information technology needs. This position will require a talented, experienced IT professional with a very diverse set of IT skills.

The Operations Engineer must demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and skills, while providing a high level of service to clients. Must have a minimum of 3 years IT support experience and be proficient in the following skill sets:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Windows Server 2008 & 2012 Technologies and Active Directory
  • Proficient with Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft SQL
  • Proficient with Microsoft Server Operating Systems
  • Cisco router and PIX firewall operations in an enterprise of various WAN scenarios such as a frame, point-to-point and secure VPN over the internet
  • Thin client technology such as Citrix and Terminal Services
  • Use of network management software (HP SIM, SCOM 2007)
  • Windows 8 support
  • Microsoft Office 2010, 2007 support
  • Network and Internet connectivity support
  • Support of PC peripherals, to include printers, scanners & USB devices.
  • Use of network/PC management software.
  • Virus and Spyware removal
  • Proficient in Backup Technologies such as Symantec Backup Exec and Microsoft Data Protection Manager
  • Proficient in Software and Firmware patching technologies
  • Proficient in virtual server technologies
  • Proficient in disaster recovery
  • Proficient with Microsoft Lync
  • Proficient with Microsoft SharePoint

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform advanced network trouble-shooting to diagnose and isolate complex network problems
  • Must be able to multi-task, have outstanding analytical abilities, and work in a fast paced environment
  • Project management methodology and change management
  • Be highly motivated
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to create and/or follow documented processes and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, on occasion

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of IT support experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP preferred
