Struggling Technology org
Software Development Manager (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 24, 2017
CLEAResult has been struggling with the tech team without a CTO for quite some time. Previous CTO tried to provide vision for the tech team - but could not move things fast enough due to constraints from other parts of the company including the executive team. The company vision is - this is a energy efficiency services company and product technology is not the main focus. Vision impacts the growth and opportunity of the technology organization.

Good mission, coworkers and benefits
Residential Energy Analyst (Former Employee) –  Plymouth Meeting, PAJanuary 18, 2017
The company has a great mission, thought-out purpose statements, good managers, great coworkers and friendly work environments.

The benefits are strong.

One of the few downsides is that work endures only from program contract to program contract. I would work there again.
Pros
You feel good going to work
Cons
Lack of longterm job security

WV's Field Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Lancaster, PADecember 27, 2016
Poor management, they do not communicate. They send you into situations without notice and are very disorganized. I enjoyed working with our clients however the immediate supervisor was very distant and would fail to respond to questions in a timely manor.
Pros
Pay is decent

Good Industry, Challenging Work Environment
Manager (Current Employee) –  UndisclosedOctober 23, 2016
Both clients, and subcontractors are outstanding. Very easy to work with and committed to doing what is right for ratepayers and customers. Management can be difficult to work with as it routinely changes based on corporate profitability and executive leadership changes. CLEAResult expects employees to work at least 40 hours per week, often more, and routinely expects regional travel.

Do more for less
Program Analyst (Former Employee) –  PortlandOctober 12, 2016
There's an expectation that you do more with less. That means you work more, but earn less. Compensation and benefits are lower than the marketplace or equivalents in other industries. Job security is dependent on the ability to win contracts. Being in a shared function is always risky since you can be pulled between contracts or cut out of one entirely. There really isn't a culture of job advancement or career training. There are educational trainings/tutorials on the Wire, but they're really not promoted and the quality isn't great (i.e. recorded PPT have bad sound and visuals). Management serves the board, not the employees. There aren't investments in systems or technology since these are long-term investments. The company will likely be sold again in the next few years. The people are great.
Pros
Cool building, unlimited vacation (per approval of manager)
Cons
Up to 3% 401k match, high insurance premiums, no long-term investments in system or people

The people here are absolutely fantastic. The work is very much so easy and very fun. Speaking to customers is always fun to deal with because some days they are happy and some days they are upset and it is my job to make sure I leave the customer being happy instead of upset.
Pros
Great people to work with

Do not recommend
Solutions Delivery Analyst (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXAugust 31, 2016
Communication from management is poor at best. Culture is non-existent and though opportunity and room to grow is highlighted as part of the new strategy, it is not practiced.

Unusual place to work. Always on your toes
Incentive Processor (Former Employee) –  East Lansing, MIJuly 26, 2016
Repetitive work. Learned about the energy rebates and new programs. Management is OK. Co-workers hard to get along with. Not all of them but most. They made faces behind my back as if I did not know. This is not professional. Some higher positions show favoritism. Most enjoyable part were the flexible hours and occasional luncheons paid for by company.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Workers hardly takes breaks, go to bathroom on breaks, they take advantage of temporary staff, Not a professional staff

Poor employee development and compensation
Field Representative (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 7, 2016
Lacking connection with field representatives which are the heart and function of a marketing program.
Totally out of touch with the true nature of retail operations and how to engage for business development.
Makes major business decisions that effect staff without proper vetting and input of staff.
Poor interactive communication. Management talks at you, seemingly without the understanding that communication and staff development should start with inclusive commication.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Sub-par compensation, poor management, poor communication

Stay Away - Run Fast
Director, Business Development (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXJune 4, 2016
This company is a rudderless ship that has employees scrambling for the exits. A lack of strategy and direction from any level of leadership has turned what once was a promising company to a joke. Find one of their competitors and go to work for them. Then target all of CLEAResult's customers and your win rate will be huge.
Pros
NONE

Rewarding job with opportunity for growth
Energy Engineer (Current Employee) –  ArkansasApril 25, 2016
Each day brings new challenges as an energy engineer with CLEAResult. Most engineers start by performing basic lighting and HVAC calcs. After you have proven your attention to detail and willingness to take on new challenges, you will begin performing comprehensive energy assessments for large commercial and industrial customers. Your day-to-day then becomes involved with measurement and verification plans/reports, complex data analysis, and building relationships with clients/customers.

If you are looking for a job where you sit at a desk for 8 hours and do the same thing every day, this is NOT the place for you. Recent engineering restructuring allows and encourages engineers to travel and work on start-up programs across the country, as well as assisting other offices in need of help.
Pros
Good compensation if you are willing to work hard and go the extra mile
Cons
Growing pains..

Technical Sales Adviser (Former Employee) –  Cedar Rapids, IAMarch 21, 2016
A great company with some real vision. As with all fast growth organizations there are some challenging conditions internally. However, I would recommend employment here to anyone willing to work hard and grow.
Pros
Energy savings is a rare win/win in the modern economy.
Cons
Can sometime be disorganized in rolling out none-standard offerings.

Unfortunately not a very forward thinking company
Software Architect (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXMarch 16, 2016
Unfortunately not a very forward thinking company. They are struggling with the very fundamentals of software development, in large part because they do not think they are a software company, even though they have a huge technical staff.

Multi-faceted company. Appreciate the honesty of management about policy changes. most companies don't give you more PTO but they did and that is surprising these days.

Company grew too fast
Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Springfield, MAJanuary 12, 2016
Multiple company mergers have caused problems integrating systems. This is extremely frustrating, not to mention my workload almost doubled because we have to update both old and new systems.

IT, Accounting and Marketing integration have been horrendous. Multiple people have quit due to these frustrations.
