Fast paced environment
ACCOUNT MANAGER (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – April 10, 2013
Pros: given a lot of responsibility resulting in the ability to grow and learn
Cons: high stress, no work/life balance
A fast paced environment with a lot of stress. Not a great work/life balance. A great place to learn and develop if early on in your career.

They were very resistant to change which was bad considering they were entering a new market they seemed to know very little about.

Commission Only Pay
Sales Representative (Former Employee), Portland, OR – January 22, 2013
Pros: customer service sales training
Cons: no benefits. they only pay you by commission.
I would only recommend working at this company if you don't mind being paid on commission-based pay only

Ordinary sales retail job
Retail Sales Representative (Former Employee), Elizabeth, NJ – January 22, 2013
Pros: somewhat laidback environment
Cons: no health benefits
Even if you reach sales, they don't always increase your hours. No health benefits whatsoever. Even if you were a good employee, the company can let you go for no reason at all.

Productive, stimulating, fun, work enviroment!
Sales Rep/IT Support (Former Employee), St. Louis, MO – January 14, 2013
Pros: good company
Cons: new company and not developed fully in where the company was going.
I had a unique position to be able to work on the sales floor working on a base salary along with making commision off of sales productivity. I also had the dual role of being one of the companies IT persons for consumer and employee related issues.

Poor place to work
Indirect Sales Manager (Former Employee), Portland, OR – December 27, 2012
Clear is a great place to get started in your career, however the product is terrible, and you cannot have a life outside of your work.

A productive and fun work environment
CSR/Sales (Former Employee), Milton, FL – December 22, 2012
Pros: free lunch, prizes, games, etc
Cons: the outsourcing of the company
A typical work day involves a high call volume.
I learned change and patience is a virtue.
Management was very helpful and motivational.
The hardest part was when the company shut down.

ClearWire provided mobile internet service. The service is/was effective, but was lacking in service area, quality, and customer service.

Good money, easy work
Outside Sales Representative (Former Employee), Rosemont, IL – December 15, 2012
I was an outside sales rep. so I can only base my experience with the company on that. Selling was not an issue and getting hours wasn't either. The problem I had was how slow the days would go by. If there were no customers in the best buy location coming in for clear it was slow; but if there little customers coming in the store in general it was – more... a painfully slow day. I constantly need to keep busy at a job. – less

How my pre-existing job was,
Shift Manager/electronic programmer (Former Employee), Honolulu, HI – November 25, 2012
Pros: free lunch, moving around
Cons: dealing with firing
My typical day at work was going to other locations during the week and being the manager i had a lot of responiblity, making sure everyone was during thier jobs correctly, and sales are staying up.
I learned buisness management, accounting, sales, electrical programming, and how to fix computers. My co-workers were really nice to work with i'd help – more... them with thier sales teach them how to grab people and not scare them away. I tought them how to be productive with thier time.
The hardest part about my job was that I would have my moments when I have employees that dont show up or slack to much i would have to let them go. I never liked doing that. My favorite part of my job was being depending on, knowing someone needed my help or wanted or felt comfortable coming to me with questions or thier problems. – less

Fun to sell clear wire products, especially when there's alot of better competition out there. Makes the job harder but challenging at the same time.

Bad Company
Tech (Former Employee), Honolulu Hi – August 21, 2012
Pros: nice techology
Cons: people running don't care about the people keeping it a float from the ground level in the field.
Many problems the first had to work overtime but you would only recieve regular pay or time off. But the time off you never got because you are on call 24/7 and you couldn't use the time off for vacation days. In the bottom line you worked for free with bad upper management to lazy to write up reviews because they weren't paying you and the getting – more... pay for off time went out the window. The worker who got laid off so they can hire contractors for same pay but couldn't do customer contact. But they made more than the in house tech who worked more than them and the management. – less
