Media Assistant (Former Employee), San Francisco, CA – April 10, 2012
Pros: good work - life balance, great location
Cons: boring office, no privacy
Universal McCann has some big clients so there's big teams of media buyers and planners. I saw a lot of 'passing the buck' happening because of all the people involved in one account. I also saw under qualified media planners and a gap between management and employee relationships. I can say good things about their HR staff who kept trying to get everyone – more... together frequently with monthly parties or famous & knowledgeable visitors. For the most part people don't say, "Hi" to one another as they pass in the hallway. Everyone is busy and I know that because we all sat in one big room, like a school cafeteria, so if someone is on a conference next to you then you're going to hear it. It's a typical advertising agency but with a stellar location. – less
Collector (Former Employee), St. Charles, MO – March 7, 2012
Pros: operating hours, compensation, benefits
Cons: job security, advancement
Not a place for a new collector really agressive competitive enviornment. There are opportunities to make excellent income, bonuses and payroll with benefits.
collector (Former Employee), st. louis,mo – February 20, 2012
Pros: good beneffits
Cons: quotas and harrassement of consumers
It was an interesting place to work. The hours were very flexiable and i felt like i was in prison. It felt more like a sweat shop. The benefits were good but they treated the employees like numbers instead of a team
