Coeur Mining, one of the world’s leading silver companies and a significant gold producer, is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer to work out of our Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, IL.
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer will provide administrative, secretarial support, and assistance to the Chief Financial Officer of Coeur Mining. Considerable discretion is allowed in establishing priorities and determining day to day activities. According to Company policy and within delegated authority, the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer will make independent decisions relating to scheduling, telephone calls, mail, and distribution of documents. This position will work with executive assistants across all of Coeur’s organization and with the executive assistant to the CEO and President of Coeur.
Manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.
Observe confidentiality in all instances.
Perform both routine and non-routine duties.
Design and assemble complex presentations.
Prepare, edit, format, and transcribe complex documents, and perform special assignments and projects.
Screen telephone calls for purpose with ability to identify intent and determine appropriate action or routing; may answer questions of moderate complexity.
Maintain confidential files and up-to-date address/telephone lines.
Duplicate and distribute written materials, including facsimile transmissions.
Transport executive vehicles and/or visitors.
Within authority and Company policy, establish procedures to effectively and efficiently perform the duties of the position.
Maintain executive calendar.
Prepare executive expense report.
Organize meetings and functions, and coordinate complex travel both domestic and international.
Provide leadership and direction to executive assistants by developing policies and practices to manage support schedules as they relate to lunch, vacation, and workload relative to scheduled time off.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, high school diploma required.
At least ten years of progressively responsible secretarial support experience or two years secretarial/business school or certification as a Certified Professional Secretary.
Financial experience and understanding of financial statements.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and display professional, courteous, and helpful manner at all times.
Experience with a publicly traded company.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to develop effective and efficient methods to complete assignments.
Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
Ability to interpret complex data and reports.
High typing/transcribing accuracy at 60WPM.
Advanced and working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation applications.
Working knowledge of office techniques (i.e. filing systems and telephone techniques).
Strong oral and written communication skills using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Excellent composition and editing skills.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
