Library Assistant, San Jose, CA - March 22, 2017
I worked for two and a half years as a Library Assistant, and it provided me with a lot of insight to organization and asset management. An average day after clocking in was chalk-full of checking the book return, and filing said books in their respective areas. The key was to have the stacks organized both alphabetically and numerically thus enabling anyone looking for that book in the future the ability to find it easily. Because many of the books were in high demand, books needed to be checked-in and shelved quickly and efficiently in order to enable students had access to required class materials.
