I started out at Coherent as a file clerk. Once I learned my job I was able to simplify my tasks so that I could take on more work. It paid off for me as I was promoted fairly quickly.
As I was promoted I was also encouraged to take accounting classes at De Anza and Foothill college which I did.
As a supervisor, I divided work fairly and according to employee strengths. My expectations were reasonable and consistent.
I loved my job and stayed until my first child was born and my husband and I went into business for ourselves.
