Busy Real Estate Office
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 6, 2013
Pros: upbeat, fast paced work environment
I was able to learn daily about the world of Real Estate by working closely with agents. My daily routine included putting together and auditing client files verifying that all the correct and up to date information was included to help keep the efficiency of the office. Answered phones and directed clients to proper departments. Organized schedules – more... and branch meetings. It was a field that I was at first unfamiliar with at first but quickly adapted to office functions and rules. – less

I throughly enjoyed working with Coldwell Banker. I only resigned because I moved to far away from location.

Productive environment
Real Estate Assistant/Office Manager (Former Employee), Jacksonville, NC – April 24, 2013
Pros: fast paced environment, always had things to accomplish, deadlines to meet.
Cons: unorganized management, management unsuccessful at keeping a team
Learning from scratch, taking on a large client base and new real estate programs, things were always busy and multi-tasking and prioritizing was key in the success of the agents I assisted. The management was very unorganized, making it difficult to keep things on track, but overall, the best job I have ever done, utilizing my creative and detail orientated – more... skills! – less

Self Employment
Realtor (Former Employee), Cupertino, CA – April 23, 2013
Pros: flexable schedule, unlimited earning potential.
Cons: expenses, no base to hold you through lean times.
Work on social media and marketing, then tour homes available for sale. Return any messages, make calls and plan for next open house.
Real Estate is a inconsistent business, When it rains it pours and when it is dry it's a draught.
Since sales people are all independent contractors Management's main focus is to support you, make sure you abide by the – more... law and run the office.
My co-workers were great people. Most were team players even though they are all your direct competitors.
The Hardest part of the job is to make yourself stand out from the thousands of other agents who have the same exact services you do. Many of whom even work for the same company.
The most enjoyable part by far is giving your buyers the keys to their new house. – less

A great place to learn how to be a good Realtor
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Salt Lake City, UT – April 23, 2013
Pros: great training and support
Cons: you needed a large base of clients to really do well.
The actual day to day experience of this realty company is the same as all others. This company, however, knew how to train its Realtors to be careful, knowledgeable, and successful. Any exceptional training I got was at Coldwell Banker.

My manager really knew what he was doing and insisted that we do the best possible job to be the best we could be.

The – more... other Realtors are still my best friends. The hardest part of the job was leaving so I could have a source of leads.

Starting here helped me to be the best that I am capable of being. – less

Pros: flexible hours
Great job while in college. Flexible hours and decent pay for student. Just need to be sure and help out wherever possible. If you own a larg mower and have basic understanding of handy man needs, you can make some side money fixing up homes for them.

Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee), Salt Lake, UT – March 15, 2013
Good place to work if you want to stay in the same position. The managers are real estate agents and usually have no experience or education in managing people so it is a roll of the dice on whether you will get a good manager or not.

Outstanding Real Estate Company.
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee), Indian Wells, CA – March 15, 2013
Pros: beautiful properties, interesting clients, and high dollar deals!
Cons: as an independent contractor, one is responsible for one's own benifits
Great national advertising. I learned quite a bit from a few co-workers, who had a great deal of experience, and many more years in the industry than I. I also enjoyed the recognition associated with the Coldwell Banker name. The professionalism, diligence, and fiduciary responsibility afforded to every client, certainly raised the bar, regarding Industry – more... Standards and the quality of service. – less
