I felt that it was a great place to work with great people. The employees are very considerate and everyone is a team player. Having the ability to bring your pet to work with you was definitely an added bonus.
if you can get a job. Most jobs are geared towards experienced professional. There are very little entry level or junior level jobs. The pay is amazing and the company has a very good ethical record. Also it's a blue chip company and a reputable CPG companies.

Most enjoyable part was working with people from across the world. Best part about of working for a global company. You will learn a great deal about the challenges that businesses face in the FMCG industry where consumers expectations are quickly changing requiring companies to adapt quickly.

I felt that the people I was reporting did not have a complete understanding of my job, the elements involved and some other basic job requirements. they asked for items to be sent to them at no cost once the job was done that actually required some number of hours of work from me to accomplish
unreasonable expectations as to availability to work

Work life at Colgate was enjoyable, worked with a great team in the Legal department. Colgate is very diversified, and strong company for life work balance. Company has excellent benefits. Has a strong company brand name and a young active workforce.
Brand name, work life balance, and diversity
recently lot of outsourcing, and laying off of a lot of employees
The job itself is not bad but the management sucks. They change things without asking. It appears that they believe everyone is easily replaceable. There is no recognition for those who work hard and do their jobs. When you go to work there you don’t get any compensation for previous experience. The HR manager is horrible. The term that was coined by her was the plant just needed to have “radical acceptance” of changes and it did not matter what the team said basically we were told they would not listen to us. They have run off all the good managers that they had. Supposedly corporate has been to visit but nothing has changed for the good they keep on coming up with ideas that make it worse. Oh when they were hiring some they told them that the were going to work 8 hrs and they new the plant had switched to 12 hrs. They flat out lied to people.
