About Coliseum Northside
Coliseum Northside Hospital was established in 1984 by Charter Medical Corporation as Charter Northside Hospital. In 1993, Quorum, a Nashville, Tennessee-based hospital management company, purchased 13 medical-surgical hospitals from Charter Medical, including Northside.
Then in 1998, Quorum and HCA merged Coliseum Medical Centers and Macon Northside – more... Hospitals in order to provide our community with better access to quality healthcare.
In November of 2005, the hospital's name changed to Coliseum Northside Hospital to reflect the affiliation with Coliseum Health System.
