The College of the Holy Cross was founded in 1843 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Worcester, Massachusetts. The College is a highly selective, four- year, undergraduate, liberal arts institution and is ranked among the nation's leading four-year liberal arts colleges. The Holy Cross Library System includes the main library-Dinand, the O'Callahan Science Library, the Fenwick Music Library, and the Rehm Library at the Center for Religion, Ethics, and Culture. Holy Cross also collaborates with the Worcester Art Museum and manages its library. The collection includes 591,000 volumes, 1,837 print periodicals, plus multi-media and electronic resources.
