Pleasant and productive work environment with good supervision
Electronic Bank Help Desk (Former Employee), Canton, NY – May 2, 2013
Pros: challenging work, never boring
Cons: only temporary
Pleasant and productive work environment with good managers and supervisors. Interesting and never boring due to high call volume and dealing with all sorts of personalities by phone. Being able to resolve problems for customers was my favorite part of the job, especially when customers were appreciative and pleasant. The hardest part of the job was – more... not having all the answers at the moment the customer asked you. However this balanced itself out for we had excellent supervisory help on hand when needed. I learned how to patiently troubleshoot in an effective and pleasant manner. – less

Great people to work with & I learned a lot in the time I was there
Loan Recovery Adjuster/ Collector (Former Employee), Washington, PA – January 10, 2013
Community Bank is the most enjoyable job I've had. They are a small bank in Southwestern part of Pennsylvania with only 11 branches in two counties; very busy and fast paced.
Community Bank was voted #1 place to work in Washington and Greene Counties 2 years in a row.

productive and professional
Branch Service Representative III (Former Employee), Clymer, NY – January 10, 2013
Pros: closed at 3pm
Cons: needed better management
I learned most of the rules of the banking/financial world. Management needs to have stronger reprimands. My coworker behind the teller line was awesome...we were very productive together. There was never a hard part of the day. Most enjoyable was meeting the customers that came in to bank with us.

Typical bank
Teller / Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Washington, PA – January 7, 2013
Pros: health care, no holidays worked
Cons: pay
Banks are banks. CB is a small bank, with small town values. Customers get to know you by name, and even years later, you have friends. Management at the branch level was uniformly impressive. Upper management was less supportive of employees

Good Place to Work
VP (Current Employee), Brandon, MS – December 13, 2012
Pros: work environment, management, benefits
Cons: yearly increases are minimal, not many opportunities for career growth
The economic downturn caused some of the GREAT benefits (10% ESOP contribution, 10% yearly bonus) to diminish to minimal, but overall, Community Bank is a good place to work.

Ok to work for
Teller/Lead Teller (Former Employee), Waynesburg, PA – August 9, 2012
Pros: benefits, incentives
Cons: pay
Ok place to work at. Not a bad job. Your experience depends on who is your manager...some are just awful, others were not too bad. They are considered one of the lowest paying banks in the area.

Community Bank
VP, CSM (Former Employee), Santa Clarita, CA – August 2, 2012
Pros: close to home, good salary, good benefits
Cons: staffing was tight and absences were sometimes a challenge
I was the Manager of a two person office in operations of a business bank. I was responsible to complete and review daily reports, transactions and manage one employee. I was also involved in opening new accounts which involved background investigations using bank systems, internet, sight verification and following bank compliance requirements (BSA, – more... CIP, KYC, State business verification sight, OFAC and other procedures as required) to properly identify the customer and business. I was also responsible to ensure protection of bank assets, hold training meetings, balance cash and much more.

I have managed banks for many years and learned new changes in government laws.

Management was offsite and held monthly meetings to inform us of trends, changes in policy and train in new systems.

My co-workers were very professional and hard working. We were a team and supported each other when needed.

The hardest part of the job was when my co-worker was absent and I had to do all of the daily work for the office and assist all walk in and telephone clients.

I really enjoyed resolving problems and helping people. I also enjoyed the research and fraud prevention.

It was a great new work experience.
Receptionist (Former Employee), Longview, TX – August 1, 2012
Pros: we would always have meals together at least twice a month
Cons: i have no cons
My day started with answering the phone as customers would call in. I would scan new account papers into the system and post them with the correct customers file. I also would scan in new notes and put them with correct customers file. When bank auditors were coming in I would pull the real estate files , notes and credit files for each one that was – more... on their list. – less
